I Am Afraid of the Dentist
Ceramic sculpture
32 x 20 cm

Often a column symbolises a commemoration of victory (or a penis). This column symbolises my arm during a visit to the dentist, cramped, nailed to his chair. A "non victory" of fear as I lay in his chair. Every time he tried to explain after an X-ray that the wisdom teeth also needed to be pulled, my "non victory" got bigger and bigger. I felt I should give myself a trophy for the best "non victory".
